Rescheduled 2019 Community Clean Up

Silverado Community Clean Up has been rescheduled to Sunday, June 16 2019. 

Sunday June 16th, 2019 9:00am – 2:00pm

Please meet at the Holy Child School Parking Lot

Lunch and drinks will be provided by the SCA through the City of Calgary clean up program for all volunteers that help pick up garbage in the community.

City of Calgary garbage trucks will be available to take these types of items: old couches, mattresses, left over building materials and other garbage items.

We are not able to take paint, household chemicals, electronics, propane tanks, microwaves, glass, or railway ties.

The compost truck will be accepting leaves, grass clippings, branches, dead plants, and any organic material that can biodegrade.

**NEW THIS YEAR**
We will have electronic recycling available and will be able to take computers, TVs, cell phones, tablets, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, power supplies, toner and ink cartridges, batteries, keyboards, mice, speakers and stereo systems!

In addition, we will be collecting bottles and all proceeds from the collection will be donated to the Silverado Community Association.

And there will also be a used clothing donation area.

So bring your bottles, electronics, clothing, garbage and compost – we’ll accept it all!
